My wife and I recently took a very short break to Marrakesh as it had been on our list for a long time.  An explosion to all your senses could be the best description and one could be easily overawed. At short notice we contacted Georgina from Berber treks whom I knew of previously. At short notice -48hrs- they provided an English speaking guide who came to meet us at our Riad at an agreed time in the morning and after a discussion as to our needs, tailored a walking tour to our requirements.

The guide, Abdel, an eloquent well educated man with a BA in English language and literature was informative, patient, immensely knowledgable and even helped us out with a bit of haggling in the souk ! We saw a whole part of Marrakesh we would not have seen otherwise and benefited hugely from his comprehensive knowledge.

Abdel obviously hugely enjoys passing his knowledge and history of his city and culture and his enthusiasm is clear to see. The is is not the guide for you if you just want to sightsee and photo click and move on to the next point.

We could have got any guide  from the souk - and believe me there are hundreds to chose from- but the confidence we got from dealing with a UK company with immediate response either by phone or e mail was immensely reassuring in what could be a daunting environment.

Both my wife and  I honestly think that this guided tour turned our holiday into a memorable experience and would have no hesitation in recommending Berber Treks and the services they can provide in Morocco.
