Posted on

DofE Residential in MoroccoDAY 5 The morning started with coco pops which was a welcome change from bread. Off to the families we went. The morning anned out differently to other mornings as the boys and girls were working together. The boys had a more relaxing day moving rocks and wood which turned into an assortment of other activities. Meanwhile, the girls managed to fill a huge stable with hay using pieces of sacking. Despite half their efforts being stolen by Haymish the cow. The day continued to be productive as the girls scrubbed the mud from a newly built room with the help of Georgina. This was shortly followed by clearing out the donkey stall. Upon joining the boys, everyone gathered for lunch. It turned into a tajine eating competition between the vegetarians and non vegetarians and ended in a tie. The boys invented Moroccan baseball whie the girls joined Warda in the river, washing rugs with their barefeet.back at the gite we enjoyed a fun evening like all otheres playing card games, pool and taking way too long to solve riddles. Dinner was beautifully served as always by the chef, Omar.
